  • Nobody joins your call
  • Works without internet
  • Mac and Windows

The app during a meeting: every English sentence appears instantly with its Spanish translation, and the assistant tells you what you were asked.

While they talk

Read every sentence as it’s said.

The English sentence and its translation, instantly, right over your call.

  • English ↔ Spanish, both ways
  • Mpause·Bmark·Aask

Illustration: a video call with 4 people (Lucía, Marco, Ana and you) and, below it, the Live Captions window. It shows each English sentence word by word, who says it and its Spanish translation.

No bots, no internet

It all happens on your computer.

No bots in the call and no internet needed for captions.

  • Zoom, Meet, Teams or any call
  • Nobody sees anything new in the call

Illustration: the participant list shows Lucía, Marco, Ana and you, and the automatic recorder struck through because it doesn’t join. Your computer’s audio reaches the caption window, which only shows on your screen. Wi-Fi turns off and the captions keep writing. Audio, transcription and translation happen on your computer; the assistant and notes wait until you ask, and the copy in your account until you turn it on.

When you get lost

Ask the meeting.

It catches you up, tells you what they asked you and explains what you didn’t get.

  • What did I miss?
  • What did they ask me?
  • Explain
  • Your question
  • You answer: it never writes your lines

Illustration: the assistant panel over the call. It explains a line from Marco: a feature flag is a switch to turn the feature on for only some people, and a backfill is filling in the old data that is missing. On “What did they ask me?” it answers that Lucía is asking whether you can commit to Thursday, because the client wants a date; Marco said the budget has to be approved first and Ana that finance reviews it on Tuesday.

When you hang up

When you hang up, the notes are done.

Summary, decisions and to-dos, each with its minute.

  • Check off what’s already done
  • Saved on your computer

Illustration: the call ended at 42 minutes and the notes for “Northwind launch” appear: a summary, 2 decisions with their minute and 3 things to do with their owner, 1 already checked off.

No. Nobody joins the call: Live Captions listens to the audio already playing on your computer. If your company or country requires notice when a meeting is transcribed, give it anyway.

Not for captions and translation, after the first download. The assistant and the notes do use a connection.

By default, nothing: the call audio, the captions and the translation stay on your computer. Something leaves only when you ask: if you use the assistant or ask for the notes, the recent part of the meeting goes to OpenRouter, to services that commit to not storing it. With your own key it goes directly; with Pro + AI or the Free trial it goes through our server, which doesn’t store it. If you turn on the copy in your account or cloud transcription, the meeting goes to those services. If you delete a meeting, it is deleted from the cloud too.

Free includes 5 meetings a month, no card. Pro is US$12 a month and Pro + AI US$20; if you pay yearly, Pro is 33% less and Pro + AI 40% less. On Pro, the assistant uses your OpenRouter account, which bills you separately for what you use.

When you ask, it tells you what you missed, what you were asked or what a line means. When the call ends, if you ask, it prepares the notes: summary, decisions and to-dos with their minute. On Free you try it with 20 questions and 5 notes a month; Pro + AI includes it with no keys, and on Pro you use your OpenRouter account.

The installer is 252 MB on Mac and 168 MB on Windows. On first launch it downloads voice recognition once: 670 MB.

Yes, both ways. Also in meetings that mix English and Spanish. And you can use it just to transcribe, without translation.

On Mac, with an M1 chip or later and macOS 13 or newer; Macs with an Intel processor aren’t supported. On Windows, any 64-bit version.

The meeting in progress runs to the end and everything stays saved. The 5 come back on the 1st, or you move to Pro or Pro + AI whenever you like.
